The ancient Chinese referred to it as Ch'i and believed that all matter whether
animate or inanimate was composed of the universe energy. In all the religious painting
portraying halos around the head of Gods, goddesses Christ and the saints indicate
that the powerful spiritual energy of these people was actually visible and more
people are interested in exploring the human Aura to understand the true source
of emotional and physical imbalances which often lead to diseases.
The Aura a field of energy that surrounds people and other living things, reflects
the energy of the spirit in that body. Commonly called the etheric field this energy
etends about two to four inches around the body and usually a light or pastel shade.
Layering the etheric is the aura which contains every colour and shade in the rainbow
and usually extends 2-5 inches from the body. Its colours, textures and patterns
reveal much information about physical, emotional, mental and spiritual states.
An Aura is like a thumbprint. It is completely individual and expresses who you
really are in all your splendour. As has already been said, we have to look for
the origin of everything to the cosmic colours.
The Punch Mahabhutas are the five great elements i.e. Earth, Water, Fire, Air and
Ether are nothing but condensation of cosmic colours. Earth is a condensation of
green colour water of Orange and Indigo. Fire is red and yellow, Air of violet while
Ether is the condensed form of blue.
Again we see the Sight is caused by the Red cosmic colour. Smell by Green, Touch
by violet, Sound by Blue and Taste by Orange. Besides these five colours bodily
heat is caused by Yellow and Indigo maintains bodily cold.
Thus the sense organs are related to the seven colours -
Eyes show Red cosmic colour
Skin shows Violet cosmic colour
Nose Tip shows Green cosmic colour
Tongue shows Orange cosmic colour and
Cavities including ears show Blue cosmic colour
Likewise five Vayus known as Pran, Apan, Saman, Udan and Vyan also originate from
seven colours. Pran Vayu originates from the Earth element and therefore from the
cosmic Green colour. Apan Vayu originates from water element and therefore originates
from Orange and Indigo. Saman Vayu as originates from Agni element hence forms from
Yellow and Red. Udan Vayu as originates from Vayu elements forms from Violet and
lastly Vyan Vayu as originates from Ether element hence forms from Blue cosmic colour.
The Tridosa of Ayurveda as also its origin in cosmic colours. Vayu Dosa combinations
Air and Ether elements and it therefore originates from the cosmic colours Blue
and Violet. Pita Dosa originates from Fire element hence it originates from ellow
and Red cosmic colours. Kafa Dosa is a combination of Water and Earth Elements hence
originates from Orange - Indigo and Green cosmic colours.
Thus it broadly shows the importance of cosmic colours which are enveloped on our
body around us called Aura. The rays of Aura play an important role in our lives.
We are born in these rays, we live and thrive in these rayes and we die in these
very rays. Hence when we talk about Aura we mean the eistence of living being.
The Aura colours, configurations and movement patterns convey signals and images
that communicate the person's problems or state of being. The "Auric Body" is composed
of seven layers the three of these layers the Mental, the Emotional and Etheric
body connect us with the physical plane of reality on which we enact the drama of
our mortal lives. A fourth layer, the Astral body connects us with the Astral plane
of reality which could be viewed as the hallway between the physical plane and the
spiritual plane. The last three layers the Etheric template the celestial body and
the Ketheric body connect us with the Great natural force i.e. the God.
Many people erroneously assume that the aura is like an onion, where you can peel
away consecutive layers. It is not.
